Lee Phutrakul never set out to become a fashion designer; however her dedication to fashion and natural eye for design seamlessly led her to a career as a designer. After studying advertising in Bangkok Thailand and eventually landing the assistant fashion editor role at Esquire magazine, Phutrakul decided to pursue a career in fashion design. It was during this time that she was recognized as a finalist for Fashion Group International’s prestigious women’s ready-to-wear design competition. In 2007, Chulette was created to redefine casual sophistication for the woman who appreciates simplicity but with an eye to detail.
At Chulette, we are kind to the environment. Our fabric is either all natural and/or sustainable. We proudly produce our collection locally in New York City.
